FAIRY RING TUTORIAL

I have been asked several times to make a fairy ring tutorial on Lampwork Etc. This is my response since I can't get anyone to take photos of the beads I make them...yet.

Start by making two donut shaped beads on one mandrel.

Add Glass to both sides of the beads

Now bridge the two beads with glass.

Now that you have bridged the two beads you will begin to melt the glass until it almost touches the mandrel.

At this point you need to be aware of how fast the glass is melting and use a pick to adjust the rings on either side.

You should end up with something like the bead below plus mandrel running through.

Decorate as you wish.
