One of the best tips I have received is from Jennifer Geldard. She demonstrated how to make your flower petals have a nice little concave look with a pair of jewelry pliers. These pliers have a round tip on one end and a concave tip on the other end.

	Build your flower base.
	Apply dots around the flower base to start your petals. Build your petals up enough to mash with the pliers. Jennifer applies several multi-colored layers of dots to get a nice effect.
	Once you mash with pliers to make the petal, place a dot on all the tips to give it a finished look.
